Women's Programme –A Woman’s World

Parenting and Life Skills

A Parenting Programme has been set up for the women of the community.  This series includes both teaching sessions and activity sessions and trips.   Each Saturday they meet to learn about and discuss various topics. 

Guest speakers are invited and individual and group counseling is done when necessary. 

Various outings are planned and carried out which most times include their children.

As a part of the Life-skills and Social Intervention component, the women are encouraged to get involved and to play their roles in the other programmes.  They give support mainly to the children’s programmes which allows them to follow through with what is learned in the teaching sessions. Every active programme is affected and not only includes the women but is also coordinated by them in some way.
